The Nintendo Switch Pokmon games have been divisive, to say the least. Starting with the infamous "Dexit" controversy with Sword and Shield's reduced Pokdex and continuing into the performance woes of Scarlet and Violet, the series' yearly output has gotten too prodigious. The mainline Pokmon series has entered a stage where fans unironically pray that there won't be any Pokmon news in the next Nintendo Direct so they can be sure Game Freak is taking its proper time with the next entry.
