Critically Acclaimed Anime Studio Science SARU Bought Out
Science SARU, the beloved anime studio behind Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and Devilman Crybaby, was just bought by Toho.
Fresh off a stellar 2023, along with numerous international hits since their 2013 founding, acclaimed studio Science SARU has been bought out by Toho Animation, as Toho officials confirmed today. With Toho acquiring all shares, the June 19, 2024 acquisition will make Science SARU a Toho subsidiary.
