With so many games reliant on understanding lore from a decade ago, Nintendo keeps everything fresh.

We talk a lot about how expensive gaming can be these days, but I don't think we spend as much time on how needlessly complicated it can be. In an industry full of reboots, remakes, and sequels, most games revealed these days are followed by the question 'which games do I need to play first?', and every time someone asks that question, you're losing a player. Nintendo seems to be the only one to understand this.
