Nintendo's Take on American History is One of the Company's Wackiest Outings

Most American history classes don't mention that the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz helped rescue Queen Victoria from an alien attack. Or how The Ballad of John Henry omitted the part where the eponymous John Henry came back as a cyborg. Or that the Necronomicon was hidden under the White House. Granted, that's because none of that is true, but wouldn't it be cool if it was? Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. on the Nintendo 3DS shows players a world where it is. Developed by Intelligent Systems, the same team behind the Fire Emblem series, the game came out in 2015. Its pedigree shows, too: Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. is a turn-based strategy game starring an army, just like Fire Emblem.
