The Pokémon franchise was kicked off with the imaginative concept of super-powered animals in an inherently mystical world, and Generation I's Legendary Mewtwo stood out as its most powerful. The artificial Psychic-Type creature was arguably the most popular Pokémon of its peers and was at least on par with the Mythical-class Mew.
