Dark Souls 2 No Longer Needs A New Remaster Thanks To Framerate Mod
Dark Souls 2 players needn't continue asking FromSoftware for another remaster now that a new mod makes the game run better than it ever has.
The second Dark Souls game may be the most maligned entry in the franchise but a new mod may restore some players' faith in FromSoftware's classic RPG. Ever since its first launch in 2014 and the subsequent Scholar of the First Sin edition in 2015, players have lamented Dark Souls 2's technical performance even on hardware that should be able to run the game at incredibly high frame rates. While it might have taken a year, one committed fan clearly had enough of the less-than-favorable frames and did something about it.
