In 2016, anime fans were treated to Crunchyroll's first-ever "Ani-May" Celebration -- a U.S.-based retail collaboration involving exclusive merchandise releases for some of the medium's hottest titles. The event has since gone global, expanding to include over a dozen regional and international retail chains that will offer exclusive anime merchandise, sales and promotions throughout the month of May.
